Design:
This original design draws from the timeless beauty of Dunhuang art — a sacred Buddhist shrine reimagined in precious metal. The front cover features an openwork carve depicting two celestial Apsaras musicians from the Dunhuang mural tradition, their robes flowing as they play the pipa (Chinese lute). Through the openwork center, Guanyin (the Goddess of Mercy) sits in serene meditation within. Opening the lid reveals the complete Guanyin figure, surrounded by ornate scrollwork symbolizing vitality and eternal growth. Entirely handcrafted and hand-polished — an objet d'art in wearable form.
Materials:
925 Sterling Silver with gold plating (entire piece)
Brown braided rope cord (adjustable length)
Brown braided rope cord (adjustable length)
Symbolism:
The Dunhuang Apsaras are icons of Chinese cultural heritage — celestial beings embodying the spirit of progress, freedom, and joy. Guanyin represents compassion, inner peace, and protection. Together, this piece is a wearable celebration of Eastern spirituality and artistic mastery. Perfect for personal adornment or as a deeply meaningful gift.
